help! starter motor needed

Hallo 319 friends,

I am on holiday in Denmark with my 319l and the starter motor has broken. It is not a simple repair. I have taken it apart and the field coil is broken and the insulation is all burnt off; this is the copper wire coil that is bolted to the body of the starter. We have tried soldering it but this did not work. Does anyone have a working spare starter, bosch EED 0.8/12 R32, that they could post to the campsite in Ribe that we are stuck at? (Ribe Camping.DK). I have a friend in England that can send the money for the starter and postage.
I have tried getting it repaired here but so far every mechanic has said it is too old! Alternatively, maybe there is a member in Danmark who can help, or knows a service centre or autoelectrician who could repair it.,
viel gruss, mange tak, thanks,
Jamie.
I will try to check messages later today, and tomorrow morning.

Hi, If no one has a spare starter, does anyone know if there is a starter from a more modern car that will fit? Thanks, Jamie

Hi Jamie,

try to contact Reinhard Kainzmaier (see advert on top of page)
He should have what you are looking for.
Maybe he will accept Paypal for payment, but I don't know.

Good luck for your search,
Christian
