Hi heterik,
Mercedes 319 and beetle is a nice combination. I like that too

Do you have some more infos to the L319? More pictures, also from inside?
Looks nice, with an enormous front bumper.
Has it been a bus? And now its used as a camper van?
I think for most of the people in this forum your english posts will be easier to understand, than the automized translation to german.
Cheers,
Christian

thank you very much for your reply Christian !
I was not sure for google translation, you confirm what I thought
I don't have more pictures for the moment, but I will do soon !
At the begining, this 319 was used by a factory (BAUDOU, a caoutchouc boots factory) for promotion during cycling sport (tour de france). So, there were persons on the front bumper to dispatch toys to the public, that's why this enormous bumper.
The rear is strange also, there are not double doors, there is one part opening by the top (the glass) and the other part (pannel) opening by the bottom (maybe to permit to do dispatch toys also). => I will take pictures next week when I will back from China.
On the side, the are long glasses, not double as I saw on the web, maybe it as been modified too, I don't know.
The 319 is in very good conditions (I know what I am talking about, I rebuilt some rusty cars before

), it is now used as a camper, but I think in the future it will return to his first look, as promotion car if I get enought documentation. I also got VW combi to use as camper, it's more easy to drive, more fast... better to drive for hollidays

Hi Heterik,
you seem to know a lot about your nice and very special L319 and about your cars history. What do you need to know? Perhaps you can tell the registration number (behind the horn up on the frame) and the year of building?
regards Wolfram

now, I'm back from china, i will take some time to check...
some questions :
- what kind of oil do you use for the engine ? standart diesel oil ?
- what about the correct driving temperature for the engine ? temperature to not exceed ?

hi heretik,

Gruss,
